Random New Post

Well I haven't had many new posts lately, but it's not like people are breaking down my door to read my blog. I'm sure it's not on anyone's priority list. Which is fine. One of the main reasons I even have the blog is so that *I* will remember stuff later. Therefore, because these two things are written down on a piece of paper that's sitting around and keeps getting shuffled from pile to pile on the desk, in the cupboard, or anywhere else it can be shuffled, I will "blog" them and throw away the paper. A very good idea indeed, if I do say so myself.

So both of these quotes I heard from our Pastor, Jim, and I'm not sure where he got them so I will just leave it at that. {Update: I believe the first quote has been attributed to Emily Post, but researching on the internet is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get.}

First; one that I would like to write in vinyl upstairs in the hallway so it's seen every day:

Kindness is to Do and Say the Kindest Thing in the Kindest Way.

A simple truth that we could *all* benefit from remembering *all* the time.

Second, this is something he said a couple weeks ago in his sermon on Sunday; again, I don't know if he just said it or if he quoted it or what. But it's good, and therefore worth writing down.

If you accept the Bible to be anything but the literal Word of God, then you have rejected it.

Again, a simple truth that just says it like it is. You either accept it or reject it.

Yep. That's all there is to it.
